Her Tongue Was Tattooed On The Back Of Her Teeth - Old Gray
We were rooted in this home.
Where we exhaled our last breath and watched the summer fade to blackness.
I will let you go if you want me to.
the fact that this song has gotten the attention it’s received over the past two years baffles and constantly humbles me. I wrote this the summer of my senior year of high school about a girl I used to be in love with. life moves, but now every time I hear/play this song I am haunted by the thought of her. I look at myself now and see how happy I am with who I’ve become and how I’ve learned to combat my anxiety and manic depression with positivity and now I use this song to reflect on who I was and realize how important music is to making yourself the person that you want to be.
